Blue Horizon Labs is officially a Nord partner. The paperwork closed on March 2. The handshake had been in motion for a while before that.
If you are not in the security space, the short version is this: Nord builds privacy and security tools that the average mid market business should already be using and usually is not. Password management. VPN. Encrypted file storage. The kind of plumbing that nobody thinks about until something goes wrong, and then it is the only thing anyone thinks about.
Most operators we sit down with are running on shared spreadsheets full of credentials, browser saved passwords with no MFA, and a rotating cast of departed employees whose access nobody has actually revoked. We see it on every diagnostic. The pattern is not malice. It is just the gravity of running a business for twenty years and never being given a reason to look at the security stack.
